Meet Greg
Your Running Coach
I’m a born-and-raised Alaskan runner with over 20 years of experience in competitive running — and just as many lessons learned along the way.
I ran my first 5K in high school at 15 years old and finished in 25:00. Since then, I’ve run 11 marathons, including Boston, with a personal best of 2:43 at age 38 — proof that PRs can still happen later in life. I ran 3:05 debut marathon back in 2008, and since then I’ve raced in events across the U.S., from small-town races with 75 runners to massive majors with over 30,000 people — consistently finishing near the top of my field with a couple course records here and there.
I also bring 7 years of experience as a high school cross country and track coach, where I helped develop multiple regional and state champions. But what I’m most proud of isn’t the medals — it’s helping my athletes fall in love with running and push themselves beyond what they thought was possible.

My Coaching Philosophy
Most people think running is all about speed, distance, or discipline — but that’s not the real secret. The real power of running is what it teaches you about yourself.
I believe running can change your mindset, build your confidence, and give you a sense of belonging you didn’t know you were missing. My coaching is about helping you grow into someone who doesn’t just run — but becomes a runner. Someone who shows up, pushes through doubt, and starts to believe in their own potential.
Whether you're chasing a new PR or just trying to make it out the door again, I’ll meet you where you are. Together, we’ll build a path that fits your life and brings running back to what it should be: something that makes you stronger — inside and out.
